What Does Hospice Provide?

At A Promise of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care:

  • We cover 100% of the medications related to the hospice diagnosis.
  • We cover 100% of the disposable supplies and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) related to the hospice diagnosis.
  • We specialize in dealing with all of the hospice patient’s needs, including varying pain management and symptom control, spiritual and emotional needs, and family dynamics. We take a holistic approach that is focused on the patient and their family system.

Patients do not have to be homebound in order to qualify under the hospice benefit.

At A Promise of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, we employ a patient-centered, outcome-oriented approach that promotes patient care foremost. We believe it is an honor to serve our patient’s needs, and we work around the clock to provide compassionate and attentive care to every person touched by our program.

A Promise of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care provides in-home care and associated inpatient care for people with life-limiting illnesses. We strive to provide a positive, supportive environment for our patients and their loved ones. Hospice should be viewed as a gift, providing time in the life of a family that can create an opportunity for spiritual and emotional bonding.

  • At A Promise of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, our patients and their loved ones always come first.
  • We will admit patients within a two hour window of receiving the doctor’s orders with patient and family consents.
  • A Promise of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care provides daily contact with our patients.
  • Our licensed nurses are on call and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • We communicate with the patient’s primary care physician and family regarding the plan of care to provide reassurance to those concerned with the patient’s well-being.
  • We encourage our patients to always keep their doctor’s appointments. The primary care physician is still a vital part of the care team, so we work diligently with them to ensure that every need or concern is addressed.
  • We follow our families for a minimum of 13 months after the loss of their loved ones to aid in the bereavement process. We offer letters of support, phone calls or visits, depending on the needs of the individual. Our Spiritual Care Coordinator is always available to assist the family through the process of grieving.

Our services are available to residents of Idaho within our coverage area and are generally covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance plans.
