As A Promise of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care continues to provide outstanding hospice and palliative care to our patients, we are reminded each and every day how precious life is. We are so grateful to the families of our patients who have entrusted us with the care of their loved ones. This is a humbling experience, and we are deeply touched and honored to participate in the care of our patients and their families as end-of-life is approaching.

As more and more families from throughout the Boise area and the surrounding Treasure Valley are learning of hospice and palliative care as a loving choice for patients diagnosed with a terminal illness, we hope to earn the trust of all who seek this service. With A Promise of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, the patient’s wishes are central to our plan of care, and we promise to bring comfort and hope to our patients and their families so they can celebrate life, rather than focus on death and dying.

For the first three days of this week, the staff of A Promise of Hope attended the local “Dying Well” Conference in Boise, Idaho. The focus of this conference was on hospice and palliative care, in addition to assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, home health, hospitals, etc. It was an amazing experience for our entire team! We learned a great deal about the way other organizations are working, and we met some wonderful people. One thing is clear… there is still much to do in the state of Idaho, in Boise and the surrounding communities, and in the industry of hospice and palliative care. We are all very inspired and excited to be entering such a wonderful field, providing care for patients receiving a terminal diagnosis, but who wish to spend their final days in the comfort of their own homes. Working in hospice and palliative care is truly a calling, and we are all grateful for the opportunity to answer the call!
